Connecting an email account

Hestie connects to email with an app password, a separate password your email provider makes just for Hestie. Your main password is never shared, and you can revoke an app password at any time.

• Gmail: turn on 2-Step Verification, then create one at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords.
• iCloud Mail: sign in at account.apple.com, then Sign-In and Security, App-Specific Passwords.
• Yahoo and AOL: Account Security, then Generate app password.

"Needs attention" on a connection

The email provider stopped accepting Hestie's app password (for example, it was revoked or your main password changed). Create a new app password and enter it in the app under Settings, Connections.

Sharing with your partner

Linked accounts share nothing until each person chooses. You decide topic by topic (kids, home, calendar, and so on), and you can change it any time in Settings, Sharing.

Your data

To get a copy of everything Hestie holds about you, or to have something it learned removed, email [email protected]. To delete your account, go to Settings, Account in the app; deleting is immediate and can't be undone. See the privacy policy for details.
